Dholera is being developed as a greenfield smart city in Gujarat.

Expressway: The total cost of the Ahmedabad-Dholera expressway project will be Rs 4200 crore. The construction of India's first high-speed multi-modal corridor will not only reduce the travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera, but will also give a new impetus to the country's industrial development.

Expressway:  After the inauguration of the first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the eyes of those interested in the mega project are now focused on the 109 km long Ahmedabad Dholera Expressway project. 21 percent of the project, which started in the year 2021, was completed till this January. The expressway connecting Ahmedabad to Dholera, the country's first greenfield smart city, is expected to be completed by January 2024. This is a unique expressway in the country. Its width is 120 meters. An expressway will be constructed on 90 meters of it and a Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) will be constructed on a 30 meter wide strip. This means that in future you will see cars and high-speed trains running together on this expressway.

Dholera Smart City is being developed as a greenfield smart city in Gujarat. It will be connected to all modes of transport, airport, seaport, road and metro. Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway project will play an important role in this work. Being part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, a new state-of-the-art airport is also coming up here.

This expressway will be useful in connecting Ahmedabad and Dholera and connecting many special areas of Dholera SIR with Ahmedabad. The route connects Sarkhej via Dholera International Airport to Navgam and Sardar Patel Ring Road near Dholera Special Investment Region.

Experts say that the construction of this first high-speed multi-modal corridor in India will not only reduce the travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera, but also give a new impetus to the country's industrial development. Dholera has now become a part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. This is the reason why it is attracting many investors. A big investment is expected here as soon as the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway takes shape.
